Our client has been delivering training programmes to both young people and adults for over 25 years, and currently has 10 delivery locations across the Black Country, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Derbyshire.

They support their customers to improve their vocational, employability and life skills through the delivery of personalised training programmes, so that their customers are best placed to secure sustainable employment. They know from experience that during these tough economic times the development of these skills is even more important than ever before.

Our client is looking for enthusiastic Training Officers to join their team based in the Black Country area where you will be helping people to improve their lives.

Training Officer - Role

You will be expected to:
- Deliver employment/motivational/skills for life training to groups and individuals
- Deliver functional skills/skills for life/employability qualifications as appropriate to learning programme
- Undertake effective initial assessment with learners and complete robust ILP
- Engage outside agencies or employers in training programme as appropriate
- Conduct learners' progress reviews, setting effective smart targets
- Managing learner absences and behavioural issues
- Complete all required documentation in accordance with laid down procedures to meet both contractual and internal requirements
- A contribution to continual improvement is a permanent and ongoing responsibility for all Juniper staff
- Achieve targets to meet contractual obligations

Training Officer - Candidate requirements:

- Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
- L3 Teaching qualification
- L4 Teaching qualification (desirable)
- Subject Specialist qualification (desirable)
- Assessor Award (desirable)
- IAG Level 3 or above (desirable)

Training Officer - Other requirements:

- Good IT skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Willingness to gain relevant qualifications
- To register with IFL
- Must be flexible within the organisation
- May be required to carry out IV duties

Training Officer - Experience:

- Working with unemployed young people and adults
- Working in education or training
- Knowledge of standards in teaching and training

Training Officer Salary: 16,000 - 25,000 + generous holidays + benefits
